How to use the QR Menu app

Put a QR code on every table. Guests scan it, see your menu with photos on their own phone, and send their order — it arrives on your POS for you to accept, then prints in the kitchen.

11 steps About 4 minutes Set up: owners and managers · Daily: cashiers and waiters

Before you start: your tables must exist (see How to add tables) and your dishes must be in the menu (see How to add products).

Part 1Set up the QR Menu (manager, once)

Step 1: Open Settings → QR Menu App and choose how it works

On the POS home screen tap the gear (top right), then QR Menu App. Tick the options that suit your restaurant and tap Save QR Menu App.

  1. Public link of your menu. Use Copy to share it on Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp.
  2. Ask walk-in or in-house guest — for hotels and resorts (guest gives room or mobile number). Untick it for cafés and restaurants so guests order faster.
  3. Send order to kitchen directly — orders print in the kitchen straight away, no Accept needed. Leave it off if you want staff to check each order first.
  4. Universal Menu — anyone with the public link can order for pickup or delivery, without a table QR.
  5. Static menu — guests only see a picture or PDF of your menu (no ordering).
  6. Tap Save QR Menu App.

Only dishes and categories with Show on QR menu switched on (in Menu) appear on the QR Menu.

Step 2: Go to Table Management and tap the QR button of a table

Still in Settings, open Table Management and scroll to your list of tables. Every table has its own QR code.

  1. The QR button of the table — here table 11.

Step 3: Download the QR card and print it

A ready-to-print card opens with your restaurant name, the QR code and the table number. Download it, print it and place it on that table. Repeat for each table.

  1. The card for table 11. Each QR knows its table, so orders arrive on the right table.
  2. Tap Download PNG, then print it (or send it to a print shop).

Put each card on the matching table. If a card goes on the wrong table, orders will show the wrong table number.

Part 2What the guest does

Step 4: The guest scans the QR and taps View menu

The guest points their phone camera at the QR code. Your menu opens in their browser — no app to download.

  1. View menu.

Step 5: They add dishes with the + button

Guests browse your dishes with photos and prices and tap + to add them.

  1. Categories — tap one to jump to it.
  2. + adds the dish.
  3. The cart shows how many items are added. Tap it when ready.

Step 6: They check the cart and tap Place order

The cart shows the table number, the dishes and the total.

  1. The table taken from the QR code.
  2. − and + change the quantity.
  3. Place order.

Step 7: They enter their details and tap Confirm & send

The guest types their name. If Ask walk-in or in-house guest is on, they also choose how they are dining.

  1. In-house guest — staying at your hotel; they enter their room number.
  2. Walk in — not staying overnight.
  3. Their name.
  4. Their mobile number (asked for walk-in guests).
  5. Confirm & send.

Step 8: The order is sent to you

The guest sees their order summary in a chat with your restaurant and waits for your confirmation. They can also send you a message here (for example “no chilli please”).

  1. Guest name, mobile and table.

Part 3Accept the order on the POS

Step 9: Tap the bell on the POS

A new QR order shows a red number on the bell at the top right of the POS (with a sound).

  1. Bell — new orders. Tap it.
  2. Chat — messages from guests. Tap to read and reply.

Step 10: Tap Accept (or Reject)

Check the table, the guest and the dishes.

  1. Accept — the order goes on the table and prints in the kitchen.
  2. Reject — the order is cancelled and the guest is told.

Step 11: The guest gets a confirmation

The guest’s phone shows that the order was confirmed. On the POS the order is on the table like any other order — add items, print the bill and take payment as usual.

  1. “Your order was confirmed and sent to the kitchen.”

Your QR Menu is ready

Guests can now order from their table. Keep an eye on the bell — accepted orders print in the kitchen straight away.

Common questions

Do guests need to download an app?

No. The menu opens in the phone’s browser after scanning. Guests can add it to their home screen if they like.

Can orders go to the kitchen without staff accepting them?

Yes. Tick Send order to kitchen directly in Settings → QR Menu App. Orders then print immediately and the guest is told it is confirmed.

A dish is missing from the QR Menu

Open Menu, edit the dish (and its category) and switch on Show on QR menu.

Can people order for pickup or delivery?

Yes — turn on Universal Menu. Anyone with your public link can then order and choose Pickup or Delivery.

I only want to show my menu, not take orders

Turn on Static menu and add a link or picture of your menu.

Where do I see how many people use it?

Open Reports → QR Menu Report for visits and QR orders.
